Biography
Don Barnaby is a First Nations Mi'gmaq from Listuguj, Quebec, located on the Restigouche River. He is a well-known traditional dancer, arena director and master of ceremonies on the powwow route. He has been dancing for over 29 years and has performed in many major productions for APTN and various television shows and films.
He has been invited to speak at various educational institutions, from elementary schools to Harvard University. He is very knowledgeable about the history of indigenous dance, ceremonies and traditions.
He has also been invited to speak at various schools and conventions about addiction recovery and how Native traditions and the Red Trail have allowed him to live drug and alcohol free for over 25 years. He especially enjoys sharing his personal recovery journey and how he got to where he is today.
He is married with 3 children and 2 grandchildren, all of whom are traditional dancers, and with his wife he owns and runs his own line of custom clothing for traditional and social events, all handmade, Healing Stitches (See information at bottom of page).

He especially likes sharing his personal journey of recovery and how he got to where he is today.
